San Jose: Man found dead near I-280 onramp identified

SAN JOSE – A man found dead near a freeway onramp in San Jose earlier this week has been identified by the Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office as 28-year-old transient William Andrew Arnbrister.

Arbrister’s body was discovered in some bushes a dozen feet or so south of the First Street onramp to southbound Interstate 280 about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP has yet to release any additional information about the case, but the coroner’s office on Thursday confirmed it is currently being investigated as a homicide.
